# STEAM education experience class # Arakawa Ward Future classroom where parents and children can learn exciting

Co-sponsored by Kaisei Gakuen. The “Exciting Future Classroom for Learning” is a classroom where you can learn STEAM education to acquire 21st century skills at a symposium and experience a workshop.Participation fee is free. YouTube distribution available.

The Arakawa Ward Committee of the Junior Chamber International Tokyo (Chairman: Yohei Nakanaka) will open from 2022:8 on Saturday, August 20, 11 at Kaisei Gakuen (00-4-2 Nishinippori, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo). We will hold a symposium and experiment class on STEAM education.

STEAM education is an integrated learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Art is added to STEAM education. It's an educational method.

The goal of Arakawa Ward is to “nurture children who will open up the future and live with dignity.”
One of the key items to achieve this goal is to "utilize ICT equipment and acquire 1st century skills." STEAM education provides exciting learning across subjects, focusing on the fields that will be indispensable in the future digital society. It is the education necessary to acquire type ability.

On the day of the event, leading experts in each field of STEAM will be on stage, and a panel discussion will be held on the human resources and education required for the next generation, with the aim of spreading STEAM education to homes and communities in Arakawa Ward. .

Speakers/panelist:One Sscience: Mr. Tsutomu Nomizu|Principal of Kaisei Junior and Senior High School
Graduated from Kaisei High School and completed a master's degree in engineering at the University of Tokyo.He obtained his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya University, and is an exchange student at Nagoya University.He has served as Center Professor (concurrently, Faculty of Engineering Professor), Assistant to the President, and Deputy Director of the Center for International Education and Exchange. Current position since April 2020.

Two Technology,Engineering: Mr. Haruhi Katsumata|Student at NASA, current JAXA employee, Department of Space Engineering
Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Tobitate!He studied abroad at NASA in study abroad Japan, and is currently doing space research at JAXA.

Three Art: Yuki Yamada|Part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts (from Arakawa Ward)
Completed doctoral course at Tokyo University of the Arts.He has won numerous awards.Currently, she is a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts.

Four Mathematics: Mr. Shinobu Takada|Executive Director and Secretary General, Japan Mathematical Testing Association
After graduating from university in March 1995, he got a job as a general consultant for city planning. In April 3, he moved to the Japan Mathematical Testing Association, and through his activities in the testing industry for about 1997 years, he has been engaged in the fusion of mathematics and society and the creation of new fields.Currently, he is expanding the scope of his activities based on the concept of "discovering why! Developing people who can do it."

Lecturer: Mr. Miyamoto from Kaisei High School
A teacher from Kaisei High School conducts experiments on color and light.Colors change one after another and you can experience the wonder of light!

Part 2: The Wonder of Taste
Lecturers: Yuma Kawanobe, a high school teacher, Hinata Kumaki, a university student
An experiment class will be held by "Nanashido" based in Minowa, Arakawa-ku.Capture and map where you feel your taste!
