September 9th (Wednesday) 27:10~ The 00rd #BlackGlobalFestival will be held at the Tokyo Indonesian Republic School!
Create a platform where foreigners can become leaders in automatic and mutual assistance and play an active role as "disaster prevention leaders"!
The Tokyo Youth Chamber of Commerce (Public Interest Incorporated Association) (Location: Hirakawa-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Keisuke Shimoyamada) will hold the “2023rd Tokyo Global Festival” from 9:27 on Wednesday, September 10, 00. It will be held at the Tokyo Indonesian Republic School (3-2-1 Kamimekuro, Mekoku-ku, Tokyo)!
Meguro Ward has seen a rapid increase in the number of foreign residents, mainly highly-skilled people, in recent years, and is developing into an international city with many embassies located within the ward. There is a lack of efforts regarding support systems for foreign communities during disasters.I think.
In the ward, there is a foreign school, the Tokyo Indonesian Republic School, with which our committee has been building a cooperative relationship, but in the event of a disaster,There is an issue of whether students who do not understand Japanese will be able to take evacuation actions smoothly. It is also true.
The Mekoku Ward Committee is working to strengthen the support system for foreigners in emergencies, and to help foreigners themselves acquire knowledge about disasters.A society in which foreigners can play an active role in self-help and mutual aid in their communities and local areas. We aim to achieve this through this project.
