Theme

The main business to be carried out this year is (1) Conducting public debates (2) Building a new system for political participation using ICT (3) Next stage of mock petitions, and three points.

  1. This year, three special wards are planned, and the term of office of the Tokyo governor is expiring. By holding public debates, we hope to communicate our policies, claims, and personalities to voters in an easy-to-understand manner, which will lead to an increase in voter turnout.
  2. We aim to create a society co-created by citizens and government. By utilizing ICT, we will work on building a new system that will make it easier for citizens to convey their opinions to the government. In March, we will invite a lecturer who practices ICT utilization to deepen understanding, and we will move forward with administrative recommendations in a year-long promotion campaign.
  3. The mock petition has been established as a Tokyo model, but this year we aim to make it completely online with the theme of ICT. With this, we will be able to solidify the foundations for the mock petition to be expanded to a wider area.
