In order to put a brake on population decline, the Welfare Policy Office aims to create a society in which local residents, businesses, government, etc. are connected horizontally, and the entire local community supports child rearing.
Working groups will be held in Shibuya, Nerima, Katsushika, and Shinagawa wards as a way for the entire local community to collaborate. The working group collaborates with the social welfare council in each district and is made up of a variety of local actors, including all children and child-rearing households, residents, and businesses, regardless of age or gender. We discuss issues and solutions related to child-rearing and resolve issues.
After holding working groups in each of the four districts, we will summarize the results and effects, submit a proposal to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as the "TOKYO Future Children and Childcare Vision," and pioneer the design of a new welfare social system that is friendly to children and childcare. I will continue to do so. By doing so, we will build a community-based welfare system where all children can live with smiles on their faces.
