Basic Policy

Creating new value through co-creation

``The rebuilding of a new Japan is the work of our young people.'' This aspiration is the DNA of the Tokyo Junior Chamber and the origin of our movement in Japan. We are required to take action to inherit the legacy created by our senior brothers and sisters and connect it to the future.
In today's rapidly changing society, new challenges are accumulating one after another. To address this issue, we need to further deepen the collaboration we have built with our counterparts and co-create. We will disseminate the movement we are weaving to as many citizens as possible, gain sympathy from them, and build a sustainable system that will lead to the future.

We are on a mission to build a new future, unafraid of the power of change. To achieve this, it is important to have the courage to challenge preconceived notions. Let's design a more inclusive and sustainable society by proactively conceiving new ideas and visions and taking action.

Co-creation of new social systems to design the future

The world is facing division due to global warming and war, and we are the first in the world to face rapid population decline and an aging society with a declining birthrate. It is our responsibility as young businessmen, who are the core generation responsible for the future, to respond to changes in this increasingly complex and chaotic society, build a sustainable society with an eye to the future, and rebuild a new Japan. I have to go.

Inheriting the 75-year history created and spun by the Tokyo Junior Chamber, we, with our roots in Tokyo's 23 special wards, will work together to develop new technologies such as IT and generative AI (artificial intelligence) in partnership with industry, government, academia, and the public. Let's build a new social system centered on sustainability that can only be created in this era, and design a future where people are full of smiles, support each other, and grow together.

History and friendship that connect to the future

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Tokyo Junior Chamber and the 23th anniversary of the introduction of the 50-ward district committee system. In this special year, inheriting the thoughts and aspirations of our predecessors, the next generation of the Tokyo Junior Chamber will build a movement that will serve as a bridge to Tokyo's future.

Viewing the anniversary ceremony as a great opportunity to build a bridge to the future, we will further strengthen the ties we have built over the years with our counterparts and friends in Japan and abroad, and bring together the diverse personalities of the 23 district committees. We will further advance the legacy of the Tokyo Junior Chamber.

Another big appeal of the Junior Chamber is that it offers international opportunities. As more members actively look to and engage with international opportunities, we will create the next generation of leaders who have an international perspective and can continue to build international collaborative relationships. Furthermore, let's further enhance the international presence of the Tokyo Junior Chamber by proactively utilizing opportunities such as applying for awards and disseminating our movement on the international stage.

Nurturing the next generation of leaders is JCI Tokyo's branding

The number of members of JCI Tokyo is now less than half of the 1989 members in 1422. Additionally, the current training programs for new members are implemented differently by each of the 23 district committees. As an organization that aims to develop leaders, in order to expand our membership, the Tokyo Junior Chamber will first formulate its own member development program and create a system that will level out the growth of our members and provide equal opportunities.

The appeal of the Tokyo Junior Chamber is the presence of district committees in the 23 wards and the co-creation of projects with partners. It is necessary to develop a project that is widely recognized and resonates with many citizens, and to highlight the members who are involved, grow, and play an active role in the project, and communicate it. Then, let's improve the awareness of Junior Chamber Tokyo and link it to JCI Tokyo's branding strategy.
